This study covers the incubator plants of the founders of 74 manufacturing firms formed in the Northern Region in recent years. 'New' was interpreted in a fairly strict way - only businesses, none of whose principal founders was a sole proprietor, partner or major shareholder in any other business at the time of formation were included.
