Eurocurrency markets

Markets in which bank transactions are denominated in a variety of currencies developed into Eurocurrency markets with transactions in a variety of currencies in addition to dollars and have expanded throughout much of the globe. Both markets play an important role in taking deposits from countries running trade surpluses and lending those funds to nations needing funds to pay for trade deficits.
